Terms of Service
Last updated: May 18, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AdLit website at adlit.ai and the AdLit dashboard at app.adlit.ai (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
AdLit lets you generate AI-powered video ads — including talking actors, multi-scene compositions, character replacements, gesture animations, and lip-sync videos — from your prompts, audio, and uploaded media. Generation is performed by third-party AI providers on our behalf (see Privacy Policy for the current list).
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- One person or one entity per account.
3. Subscriptions, credits, and billing
AdLit is sold on a subscription basis. Each plan includes a monthly credit allotment used to pay for generations. Credits are consumed when you submit a generation; the exact cost depends on output duration and model.
- Billing. Subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe on a recurring monthly cadence.
- Renewal. Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel. Unused credits do not roll over — your monthly allotment refreshes on each billing anniversary.
- Upgrades.Upgrading mid- cycle immediately grants the new plan's full credit allotment and cancels the previous plan.
- Downgrades. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period; current- period credits remain usable until then.
- Cancellation. You can cancel any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not refund the current period.
- Failed payments. If Stripe cannot collect payment, your subscription will be suspended after Stripe's standard retry schedule. Unused credits will reset to zero until billing succeeds.
Refunds. Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. We may issue refunds at our discretion for failed generations caused by our service.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Generate content that infringes anyone's intellectual property, publicity, or privacy rights — including using likenesses, voices, or branding you don't have rights to.
- Generate sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, or material that violates applicable law.
- Generate content designed to harass, defame, deceive (including political disinformation), or impersonate real people without consent.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or circumvent technical limits of the Service.
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written permission.
- Use the Service to build a competing product through benchmarking, model extraction, or data harvesting.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice depending on severity.
5. Your content and licenses
You retain ownership of the prompts, audio, images, and videos you upload ("Your Inputs"). You grant AdLit a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process Your Inputs solely to operate the Service. You also own the videos AdLit generates from Your Inputs ("Outputs"), subject to your compliance with these Terms and the licenses of the underlying AI providers.
You represent that you have the rights necessary to upload Your Inputs and to use the Outputs for your intended purpose. AdLit does not warrant that Outputs are free from third-party rights claims; verify rights clearance for the people, voices, and brands depicted before commercial use.
6. Intellectual property
AdLit and its licensors retain all rights to the Service, including the website, application, models, and trademarks. These Terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, artifacts, or unexpected results; review every Output before public use.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AdLit will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid to AdLit in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) USD 100.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold AdLit harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from (a) your use of the Service, (b) Your Inputs or Outputs, or (c) your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
10. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material violations of these Terms, prolonged non-payment, or as required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately; data is retained per the Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where AdLit is incorporated, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction unless mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
